13k GIF 80k JPEG Turning right in John Street to the site where the first six houses were rebuilt in 1918. It is reported that on the night of September 25th-26th 1916, that about 12 Zepplins took part in an air raid, dropping some 20 bombs. The severest damage being inflicted in Kirk Street, 13 people are said to have been killed. THis action also damaged houses in John Street. May 13th 1964.
